Everything was going great until about 2pm. I was sitting at a 3+ ROAS, getting some nice big AOV orders, and then… sales just stopped. Hours went by with nothing, and it wasn’t until around 9pm that another order finally came in. Not cool, Zuck.

So yeah, a little ROAS drop overall, but nothing I’m too worried about. I did increase my ad budget by another 20%, so maybe that played into it.

On the brighter side, I added an AI chatbot to my store. Hoping it’ll bump up conversion rates and also handle some support questions. If you’re curious, I’m testing out Chatty AI.

I also sent out an educational-style email to my list. No hard selling, just value, with a link at the bottom back to one of my store pages. I usually stick to one email a week, switching between educational and sales-focused ones.

And lastly, I went back through the list of big ecommerce stores I pulled together the other day. Checked out their product pages, carts, upsells, downsells, and checkout flows. I borrowed a few ideas and made some tweaks to my site. Nothing major, but it feels cleaner already.

Lesson of the day: keep learning from brands that are ahead of you, and always keep tabs on competitors. (I literally check their ad libraries daily to see what they’re running).
