Day 2: Scaling Pains – Budget Up, ROAS Down… For Now

Yesterday was a bit of a rollercoaster. My ROAS dipped for most of the day, and I was basically sitting at break-even until the last couple of hours, then a few orders came in and pushed me into profit.

I did bump my budget up another $100 CAD, and like usual, performance dipped right after. It seems to always happen on the day I increase budget, so I’m not too worried… just hoping things bounce back today.

On the research side, I pulled together a list of 17 ecommerce brands I want to study. The plan is to dig into their flows, apps, upsells, and overall strategy, then pull out ideas I can test for my own store. Here’s the list:

Right now, the main goal is to hit consistent $1k days. They’ve been a little rare lately, but the plan is straightforward: launch new ads, increase AOV, and keep optimizing the site.

One other thing I’ve got my eye on: there’s a new Chinese tax going live October 1 (this applies to everyone). That could make factory relationships a bit messy. So before I go wild creating bundles with a bunch of different products, I’ll wait to see how that plays out.
